Privacy Policy

Qrankr (“Qrankr,” “we,” “us”) provides interview-preparation content and tools at qrankr.com (the “Service”). We’ve built the Service to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what we do and don’t collect.

The short version

No account is required, and we don’t ask for your name, email, or password.
Your bookmarks, saved questions, interview guides, practice progress, and preferences are stored in your browser (local storage) — not on our servers.
We don’t sell your data or use third-party advertising/tracking cookies.
If you use the optional AI feedback feature, the answer you submit is sent to our AI provider to generate feedback (see below).

Information stored on your device

Features like bookmarks, the Saved list, the Interview Guide Builder, Practice Mode progress, dark-mode preference, and your candidate/interviewer view are saved using your browser’s local storage. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

AI answer feedback

Practice Mode includes an optional feature that reviews an answer you write. When you request feedback, the interview question and the text of your answer are sent to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate the feedback shown back to you. We do not store your submitted answers on our servers, and we don’t use them to identify you. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your answers. Your use of this feature is also subject to the AI provider’s own policies.

Hosting and server logs

The Service is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may process standard technical information (such as IP address and request metadata) to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. We may also use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that do not identify individual visitors. We do not combine this with any personal profile.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage we use is limited to the local-storage preferences described above and any strictly necessary technical storage used by our host.

Children

The Service is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because we don’t hold an account or profile for you, the data most relevant to you lives in your own browser and is under your control. You can remove it at any time by clearing your site data or using the in-app controls (e.g., removing saved questions).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
